Die Whiskys werden zu 100% aus gemälzter Gerste hergestellt und in Schottland in Eichenfässern gereift. Eine Auswahl an Malt Whiskys aus 14 verschiedenen Highland- und Islay-Brennereien werden zu den beiden Gladstone Axe Blended Malt Whisky's vermählt: American Oak ist weich und fruchtig mit Noten von Vanille und Honig - The Black Axe ist dezent rauchig und vollmundig im Geschmack. Der ehemalige Premierminister William Gladstone, dem dieses Label gewidmet ist, hatte eine Sammlung von Äxten, was den Namen des Whiskys erklärt.
